This is more a recommendation than a question:

I feel like maybe you should remove the link to the suitsusa comm on the side of the journal. That comm is completely dead, and the mod(s) has been missing in action since forever. Supposedly, it's a het/gen-only comm, but people are still posting slash and the mod(s) either don't notice, or don't care. It just seems horribly disorganized, and frankly, unnecessary since usa-suits does a much better job.

Just putting my two cents in here, but I put on the top of my comments that my prompt is being reposted from a previous prompt. I find it more organized doing that, so maybe you can consider making it a rule where members put in their comments if their prompt is being reposted etc. to make it easier to archive new prompts.

Thank you. I'll add that in when the round is closed and for the next round.

Should we post fills to the fill post at the old meme, or will you be making a new fill post at this comm?

You can still continue posting fills to the old fill post.

I've read the prompt. The way that it was written seemed to indicate that anon wanted a historical au, where the type of behavior was there (at least in certain tribes). It was taken care of, thank you for bringing it to my attention.

Re: Question: Fills

You can always write and post the fill in your journal and not do it as comments to the prompt. However, don't forget to comment on the prompt with a link to your fill, using the proper format in the header

Just a suggestion for tagging of prompts if possible: something I noticed and got used to on the dakinkmeme was archived fills being tagged as 'unfinished' or 'finished'. It was really quite helpful for anyone browsing for completed fills. I don't know if this kmeme has enough helpers for long-term tagging like that, but I thought I'd make the suggestion :)

This caught my interest. Since I'm helping to do the archiving, what do you mean by 'unfinished' and 'finished'? Prompts that are incomplete or WIP are labeled as such, and have an individual folder. Once they are completed, the WIP tag is taken off. But I get what you're saying, it would make things a little more organized.

What's the policy on fanmixes? I did one that fills a prompt/is a companion to a prompt, but I'm not sure if that's okay to post.

fanmixes are absolutely allowed. Any type of media (e.g. fanmixes, videos, gifs, fanart, fanfic) that fills a prompt is allowed.

Can Glee Kink discussions, linkings be taken off list or warned?

(Anonymous)
Hijacked onto the Omega Wolf prompt, kurtofskylove is doing linkages and pimping for a Glee Kink list with no warnings. The thought of a kink list devoted to sex acts amungst what the writers/producers want us to believe are under age characters is very triggering to survivors of child sex abuse. Can pimping for other lists be done via personal message off the rounds when the entries are signed or placed in the "Free for All" with warnings if appropriate? This is a great list and well is about hot adults doing hot adult things and pimping an underage kink meme just seems really out of place.

Re: Can Glee Kink discussions, linkings be taken off list or warned?

I understand where you are coming from anon. I made sure to deal with it however please keep in mind that the other kink meme despite about a show involving underage characters mostly writes about them over the age of consent. I won't delete the discussion but I will make sure that future discussion happen at the free for all post or warn at least in the comment for that anything undergage or triggering.

Warning question

Other than the list of things you HAVE to warn for, what are the general guidelines for warnings? I just saw someone say something about warning for mpreg and was once told that I should have warned for bottom Harvey. Can you provide some insight here please?

Re: Warning question

It is actual up to the author on what you want to warn for. The list of things that you have to warn for are a must if your fill/prompt features them. Other than that it's up to you.

As for mpreg and bottom!Harvey...you don't have to warn for those. Basically, if the fill features mpreg or a certain kink (as long as it's not one of the items on the 'Must warn for' list), you don't need to warn for it. We will put up the appropriate tags for it when we bookmark it for the archive.

Basically, it's to your discretion on what you want to warn for. When in doubt, pm me or post a comment here and I'll let you know if you should warn for it.

for some reason my first part of the fill here is screened. i think because of the links in it.

That was taken care of. :)

Just a quick question about the WIP tag of the delicious site. I noticed it's in the tag line, but most fics I read were filed under finished although they wern't?

I'm sorry about that. I need to go through and fix that, it's on a to-do list. Promise, we will get to it.

Question

Sorry for the lack of updates on delicious, I'm archiving Round 5 now, and it's up to date.

My question is can we repost a prompt even if it was reposted before and unfilled? Like if I posted a prompt in round 1, got unfilled, reposted it in round 3, still unfilled, can I repost it in round 5?

Re: Question

absolutely. Even if a prompt was filled, you can still repost it, just as long as it's not in the round immediately following. For example, if a prompt was reposted during round 4, you can't repost it in round 5.

!filled and !unfilled

(Anonymous)
Is there any way to separated the filled prompts from the unfilled prompts? If so how do I find it?

Re: !filled and !unfilled

We separate the filled prompts from unfilled prompts on our delicious account. Here is the link for filled: http://www.delicious.com/suitmeme/_%21filled. And here is the link for unfilled prompts: http://www.delicious.com/suitmeme/_%21unfilled.

Screened comment

Hello, I just posted a comment regarding one of the fills I've finished and it got screened D: Does it have something to do with me posting two links in one comment? I was just putting up links for a cleaned-up version of the fill D=

The comment in question is this one: http://suits-meme.livejournal.com/1484.html?thread=1874124#t1874124

How can I avoid this problem in the future? Thanks :D

Re: Screened comment

The way that we set the entries/community is to screen comments that have unrecognized links. this is really to prevent spam. Most of the time, it will screen links that lead to AO3. I've unscreened the comment that you posted. As for avoiding this problem in the future, there is really nothing much to be done if you still want to link it to AO3. Hope this helps. It's not your fault, it's the way that our spam watching filter thing is set up for livejournal.

Regarding the new LJ comment system

Hi,

I noticed that LJ now has a new comment system going on and I feel like it's absolutely impossible to read comment fics D: You click on one part of the story and everything's crammed into a width of a few centimeters! Is there any way we could read fics more comfortably? I'm useless with computer stuff so I was wondering if there's another version (a wider version with space) of this page. Thank you for your help!

Re: Regarding the new LJ comment system

Hi,
last night's tweak was to make sure that we still have our headers, which are extremely important for warnings and triggers. I'm currently looking into a solution to figure out a way to make the comment boxes larger or even find a layout that would suit us better.

That said, unfortunately, the old way of reading comments is gone and will not be implemented unless Livejournal changes their current and ridiculous update. The previous way of reading comments does not have headers. I will be toying around with suitsmeme to find a more comfortable comment page.

All I ask is that you bear with us in this somewhat crazy update. Trust me when I say that's it's a lot better this way than the new comment system. :)
