IMPORTANT: This round is different and will thus have a few more rules applied to it.

1. Prompt must have to do with a holiday. Any prompt that is not holiday related will be deleted. (Birthdays do not count as Holidays in this case. If you want a Birthday prompt that wasn't posted in Round 4, you can post it in Round 5 located here.)

2. Don't forget to warn for any triggers (these can be found in the Rules post), better to warn when in doubt. If you have any questions/concerns regarding your prompt, don't hesitate to use the mod post.

3. Indicate any pairing/character, kink (if any) and warnings in the header of the comment. If you can't fit them all in the header, then the first line of the comment should include all that information.

Holiday Round will close for 48 hours when it reaches 2500 comments and will close permanently when it reaches 5000 comments. During the closed time, people are still allowed to post FILLS, but any PROMPTS posted will be deleted. If all goes will we will have another Holiday Round.

Prompt: Harvey/Mike, Mistletoe

Harvey is not an emotional guy. Rather than tell Mike how he feels, he puts mistletoe up in places Mike frequents. Shenanigans and mix ups ensue, but Mike figures it out in the end because, where Harvey isn't emotional, Mike isn't stupid. Fluff!

Am I first? That would rock.

Re: Prompt: Harvey/Mike, Mistletoe

you are first. This is an awesome prompt. :)

Harvey/Mike, Home for the Holidays (est. relationship)

So, Harvey's parents live in another state (I was thinking in the south) or even another country. Harvey goes home for the Holidays. This time, he takes Mike with him to meet the parents. Shenanigans about celebrating the Christmas with Harvey's parents.

-Mix up of presents (Harvey's parents were expecting a female when Harvey told them he was bringing someone)

-Choosing a Christmas tree with Harvey's mom.

Re: Harvey/Mike, Home for the Holidays (est. relationship)

(Harvey's parents were expecting a female when Harvey told them he was bringing someone)
wahaha, yes please. and Harvey thinks that's hilarious, natch.

Prompt: Harvey/Mike, Valentine's Day

Harvey goes all out for Valentine's Day when Mike would have been just as happy spending the evening with take out and a movie at Harvey's place.

Gen or Harvey/Mike, St. Patrick's Day

It's St. Patrick's Day, only Harvey forgot and isn't wearing any green.

And he can't figure out why people keep pinching him on the butt.

This prompt brought to you by vodka. Lots of vodka.

Harvey/Mike, Christmas kiss and H/C

Because apparently I can turn even holiday cheer into Mike!whup.

Mike corners Harvey under the mistletoe at the company holiday party and demands a kiss. Harvey panics and refuses, because people are watching and he's not going to kiss his associate for the first time in front of Louis and Jessica. Mike is hurt, but tries to hide it and jokingly tells Harvey "We are GOING to lock lips before the night is over, damn it!"

Turns out he's right. Too bad it it's for CPR and not a true kiss, after Mike chokes on one of Louis' famously terrible matza balls.

Re: Harvey/Mike, Christmas kiss and H/C

i knew i shouldn't have looked here, because now i kind of totally want to try to write this!!

Harvey & Mike: Unexpected Holiday Dinner.

I didn't write Harvey/Mike because if it does happen, it'll be very tiny and at the end.

Harvey doesn't really do "holidays". Mike on the other hand is a total sap for them.

Grammy Ross is the only person that Mike has family wise - and as for friends? Yea... No. So when Mikey goes to everyone in the firm and invites them to dinner, he doesn't expect EVERYONE to flat out turn him down. It hurt. He was gonna try and make something happen but since no one is coming, why bother.

Somehow the nursing facility that Grammy Ross is in gives him the OK to take her to his place for a family dinner. But at the very last minute.. They tell him that she's not capable of travel. He doesn't let that further deter him.

Mikey gets his gift for his Grammy and heads over to the home to have dinner with her - because she doesn't have long and that's obvious. Just the two of them quietly spending the holiday together.

Until Harvey shows up - with a gift for Mikey's Grammy - all the while claiming not to care - to have dinner with them. Not a big deal.. Right?

Dinner goes peacefully and at the end of the night Harvey offers to have Ray drive Mikey back to his place after dropping him off. Harvey gets out of the car and Mikey does too. Looking completely confused at this, Harvey does not expect the bone crushing hug that Mikey gives him. He makes it last too.. Holding on to Harvey while mumbling his thanks in the crook of his neck. Is he crying? Harvey notices and hugs him back. This dinner met so fucking much to Mikey. More than Harvey will ever understand.

Basically.. A holiday dinner story filled with angsty fluff and a teeny Marvey moment at the very end. More bromantic / friendship than romance. But if Mikey does end up with a kiss on the forehead... That's perfectly ok with me. Please do.

When did I start prompting basically bromance/gen instead of Marvey lovings?

Change Your Mind [1/?]

Mike wasn't exactly expecting everyone to want to come over to his place for a holiday dinner, he knew most people probably already had plans, as it was short notice to begin with, and he also understood that some people just didn't like him enough to want to spend time with him while at work, let alone when they were outside of work.

However, he thought there would at least be somebody, anybody, that would be willing to come, maybe put their differences aside for just one night, and enjoy a good meal. It was the Holidays after all, and he thought they often had a way of bringing people together. Apparently not this year, because he was turned down by everybody, some people turned him down nicely, stating that they had other plans, and giving him their best fake smiles, assuring him that if they hadn't had other plans they would have definitely been there, and Mike would give them his own best fake smile back, saying that it wasn't a big deal. It kind of was though, and it kind of hurt a bit to be shot down like that.

Of course, that wasn't as bad as Kyle, who Mike wasn't even going to ask, because well, it's Kyle, and they never exactly saw eye to eye, but Mike didn't want to not ask him, because for all Mike knew he didn't have a place to go, so he at least wanted to throw out the invite, just in case. And Kyle had said yes, and gave what sounded like a sincere thank you for the invitation, but when the corners of Kyle's mouth turned upwards and he started laughing, Mike realized that he was yet again because screwed with. As if that alone wasn't enough to make him feel bad, Kyle had to throw in that the reason he couldn't go was because he "Wasn't an orphan and would be busy spending it with his actual family." Mike didn't bother dignifying his comment with a response, just shook his head and walked away. Just because he wasn't going to dignify it, didn't make it hurt any less though.

Mike had one more person he hadn't asked, and that was Harvey. He hadn't asked Harvey, because of all the people he had planned to ask, he definitely expected a 'no' from Harvey. Like it was already set in stone that he'd say no, before he had even been asked.

Regardless, Mike still couldn't help but feel nervous while walking to his office to ask him, and maybe that's because while his head told him the answer would be no, his heart was still holding out hope.

"Mike. Just the person I needed to see," Harvey said, when he noticed Mike walked into his office, "I need you to try to find me something with this damn Andrews' case. I don't have time to go over it, and I figured you'd be able to do it a lot faster than I would. So would you mind?"

"Sure. I'll get these back to you by the end of the day," Mike replied, as he walked over and grabbed the folder Harvey had just tossed to the corner of his desk. Mike just stood there after grabbing the folder, not really sure how to bring up what he wanted to ask.

"Is there something you need?" Harvey finally asked, after noticing the way Mike was still hovering by his desk.

"Um, well, actually, I know you're probably busy, but if not, would you want to maybe come and have dinner with me..well, me and my Grammy tomorrow, I know it's late notice and all but I was given permission to bring her to my apartment and I would really kind of lov-"

"Mike," Harvey interrupted, and Mike was kind of glad for that, because he could feel himself starting to ramble.

"I can't come."

"Oh. Right. No, I figured that you wouldn't be able to, but I just wanted to ask."

Mike wasn't exactly good at hiding his emotions, and Harvey thought he looked like a kid that had just been told Santa wasn't real.

"You know it's nothing personal, right? I just have a prior engagement."

"No..yeah, that's fine, I completely understand."

"Maybe you could try asking around the firm, I'm sure there's somebody willing to go."

"Yeah... maybe. But uh, I think I'm going to go get back to work," he said as he started walking towards the door, as fast as he could, because he really just wanted this conversation to be over now.

"Hey Mike."

"I hope you have a nice dinner with your Grammy."

"Thanks," Mike smiled. If nothing else, at least Harvey had sounded sincere when he said that.

Harvey/Mike or Gen Home for Christmas

Christmas is Mike's favorite holiday (easy guess, considering the caring he oozes out the ears) and Mike's very big on spending it with family.

Something happens that absolutely requires Harvey to bring Mike with him to soothe over a client on Christmas Eve. They go to meet the client in his backwoods winter home. A snowstorm (read: epic blizzard) traps them either in the winter home or en route.

Cue Mike getting frustrated and trying to find a way to get home, Harvey being baffled ("You'd rather risk your life in this shitstorm than wait it out like a grownup?") and Mike explaining through stories of his family how Christmas has always been important to him and how his Gram is waiting for him and he just can't leave her to spend Christmas alone.

And Harvey (who so totally does too care) fixes it somehow?

Harvey/Mike, 4th of July Picnic

So Harvey's had this client for years that, for whatever reason, has never been as impressed by him as most of his clients are. And Harvey's tried pretty nearly everything to impress the man/woman, but to no avail.

Now this client is in the PH offices one day (need something legal-y, obviously), and they meet Mike for the first time and are, naturally, instantly charmed by the kid. The client is just (platonically) in love with him. And Mike is smiley and sweet and appreciative, and talks about how Harvey's the best guy to work for, etc etc etc.

So after the legal junk is done, the client stands and extends a invite to their ultra exclusive 4th of July picnic/fireworks show/holiday weekend in the Hamptons to Mike and Harvey. They accept.

Sometime just after they arrive to the party, when Mike has wandered off for something (drinks, food, playing with the kids because this a very family oriented deal for the client...whatever) the client corners Harvey and tells him that although he's clearly the best lawyer they've ever been around, it wasn't until Mike walked in his office and the client saw the look on Harvey's face that the client was truly interested in knowing Harvey as a person too.

The client's been happily married for 30 years. They know love when they see it.

Established Harvey/Mike - Blending Holiday Traditions

Harvey is religious, not necessarily the go to church every Sunday type, but he has a deep personal faith and really celebrates Christmas and Easter. Mike is Jewish. Harvey finds out after tailing where he disappears every Friday pre-sundown. He is observant and Harvey celebrates Sabbath with him. They have a daughter now. She is three and is finally understanding things and seeing holiday specials on TV. How do they blend Christmas and Hanukkah. How does Mike expose her to his holiday when so many messages are all about Santa, Reindeer, Frosty, and Christmas trees.

Bonus: Harvey hanging mistletoe, but every attempt he's having to get Mike under it is constantly interrupted.

Bonus: Mike trying to make a gingerbread house for their daughter and just having a miserable time. He's no architect. He's hurt and Harvey's confused when Harvey 86s Mikes monstrosity while hes sleeping and buys one made by a top of the line designer.

Bonus: Harvey taking Mike and their daughter to their first lighting of the Christmas tree in NY.

Harvey/Mike Mistletoe Mischief

5 times one of them catches the other unsuspecting under mistletoe and one time Donna arranges it for her favorite couple to share their first kiss - also in front of her desk. C'mon she's the flawless bitch and she can so surprise them. Just a little holiday fluff and an excuse for 6 Marvey kisses. If writer decides to take it further, lol, born is certainly welcome. :)

Re: Harvey/Mike Mistletoe Mischief

I started writing this, got to number 4, and lost them all. Oh. My. God. I'll get something up now, if I can remember what it was, I might do it in stages, so that I know I'm keeping each point.

I apologize if obscure holidays don't count.

So December is coming and there are a lot of great holidays to choose from. Of course I'm picking Ninja Day!

Ninjas everywhere. Of course Donna is the one true ninja for never being seen.

Mike/Harvey 4+1

4 holidays they missed as a couple and 1 they got to spend together -- preferably Christmas being the 1 together.

Harvey+Mike, The Santa Clause AU

Harvey somehow knocks Santa off a roof, and gets roped into replacing him. But unlike the movie, Harvey is careful to read all the fine print. So he enlists Mike to help him get out of this gig, because if there's one thing Harvey Specter doesn't do? It's spread holiday cheer.

Re: Harvey+Mike, The Santa Clause AU

Omg. so want. I didn't even know it.

Mike/Trevor or gen, Thanksgiving and/or Christmas while apart

It's Mike and Trevor's first holiday season apart from each other since they were kids, but that doesn't mean that they can't talk. Throughout the day they're either on Skype, texting, or on the phone with each other.

Bonus points if Mike goes to visit his grammy and, despite her feelings towards Trevor, they wish each other happy holidays and grammy gives Trevor an overprotective mama bear talk about staying safe.

Double bonus points if they keep talking until the early morning hours and one of them accidentally falls asleep mid-sentence.

Mike/Harvey, Est Relationship - Mike's parents aren't dead.

It's just easier telling people that instead of trying to explain that his real last name is Kringle and Gram raised him ever since he ran away from the North Pole because he didn't want to be part of the family business. Except now that his relationship with Harvey is serious his parents want to meet him.

Re: Mike/Harvey, Est Relationship - Mike's parents aren't dead.

ohh fabulous prompt omg *_* I'll wait a couple of days before I even decide to fill this... because it'll just end up being awful LOL

someone fill this please...!!!

Harvey/Mike December

So the holidays are approaching and Harvey is expecting Mike to be one of those people who are ridiculously and obnoxiously cheerful about any and all things Christmas, so when Mike starts acting withdrawn and a little depressed, it throws up some red flags. Turns out, Mike's parents died right around Christmas, so the holiday has pretty much been ruined for him from then on out. Cue Harvey, despite his own disdain of the holiday, going out of his way to make sure Mike's Christmas doesn't suck.

(Deleted comment)

Harvey/Mike, Holiday blues

Mike used to go all out for Christmas; making ginger bread houses and holiday cookies, decorating his appartment until it looking like elves threw up in there, drinking eggnog, cooking Christmas dinner while singing to holiday music. He used to do all this stuff with his 'family.' But not this year, because this year Trevor's gone, Grammy is too sick for visitors (I haven't watched much of this series but if she passed away then go with that), Jenny went home to see her family and work has been so crazy that he hasn't even had time to do anything. So Mike has a horrible holiday completely alone. When he gets back to work he is depressed, somehow Harvey finds out about Mike's miserable Christmas and invites him over for a surprise second Christmas (because Harvey cares).

Harvey + Mike, Warnings: Non-Major Character Deaths, Mike hates July 4th

Out-of-season!prompt is out-of-season. Sorry, I can't control when the bunnies breed.

On Wednesday, July 2, 1997, Men In Black premiered in theaters. Mike wanted to go with Trevor. His parents said no. Mike snuck out and went anyway. That weekend, his parents grounded him from going with them to the big Fourth of July block party. Mike said he hated them, that they were ruining his life, and that he couldn't wait until he didn't have to live with them any more.

On Friday, July, 4, 1997, Mike got what he wanted.

Fourteen years later, Harvey casually reminds Mike that his presence is expected at the company's barbecue. Mike tells him to go fuck himself.

Harvey & Mike: Fireworks [potential TW] [Gen] [H/C]

Posting this in 2 pieces because it simply was too long for one comment. Please read both halves.

Ok so.. Know that it has taken me awhile to track down and lure back the plot bunnies that inspired this originally - good thing I went all hyper attention to detail and accumulated some pretty decent brainstorming notes! It is indeed a New Years prompt. Sorry it wasn't posted sooner. *w* Also - this is not a Marvey fic. See footer notes.

Harvey Specter grew up poor as a child. He had a particularly rough life for someone so young. We're talking plain rice for dinner on the nights when his parents would remember/care to feed them. Ramen noodles were a luxury. Harvey never seemed to do anything right. Constant yelling, arguing and fighting are things a child shouldn't experience. He was beat on a regular basis.

Harvey Specter has a younger brother that's 10 yrs under him. He is the second child and the baby, therefore not getting it as bad as Harvey.. But he definitely got his too. Being the eldest, Harvey had to practically raise his (unnamed) little brother.

The Specters.. Well, I am sure you can figure out what kind of people they were. Harvey was an accident, and lil bro was a 'hey we can get the gov't to give us more $ for another kid' occurrence. Such wonderful people.

The only thing that Harvey really ever could say he looked fwd to were the beautiful fireworks that would light up his sky every New Years, 4th of July, and from sporting games. They were his only constant, his only escape.

So when it happened one day, the terrible close call, when Harvey was just 15 and his lil bro 5, it definitely scarred him for good. Bath time. That was Harvey's job. He was also *attempting to scrape something together for dinner. He left for a millisecond, which was drawn out by his parents raging at him, and when he returned... There he was.. Blue lipped and unresponsive. His little brother had drowned in a mere 3" of water. Yelling. Tears. More Screaming. Harvey had managed to resuscitate his brother thanks to the emergency people on the phone. Without the help of his parents. He got it the worst of all for that one. How dare he almost get their meal ticket killed?! This has seriously messed up his psyche.

Harvey & Mike: Fireworks [potential TW] [Gen] [H/C] part 2

Mikey too grew up poor, but that's where all the similarities end. Growing up, the Ross' made it day by day, having enough to not starve. They were the other face of poverty.. If you will. Mikey was an only child. His parents worked hard to provide for the 3 of them.

How it happened.. How Mikey's parents died- er were killed.. Was a total and unbelievable accident. He really didn't mean it.. He swears! Mikey just wanted to be like the other kids, to be able to have stories of greatness to share from his New Years at school the next day. The Ross' never had spare money to buy anything like what the others had for their children. There wouldn't be any stories from him. As usual.

That is until just before break, a classmate gave him something that he'd treasure. He'd keep them secret until the very minute he needed them. Sparklers. They were pretty. He didn't mean to accidentally set the house on fire. He didn't mean to burn his parents to death as they slept upstairs. From that moment on, Mikey has hated all things fireworks.. No matter the size. Including the holidays that included them.

At the age of 12, Mikey officially became an orphan, and with no aunts/uncles to take him.. He was foster home bound. Until his only living Grandmother decided, even at the age of ~60, that she would take on the task of raising him. He continued to grow up poor. Retirement / SSI wasn't intended to raise a family on.

*Fast forward to the current time*

Pearson Hardman. When you hear that name, you don't think small. You don't think mediocre. You think huge.. Because that's what they are. Anyone will swear to that.

It's New Years 2012! What else would you expect when PH is involved? The firm manages to acquire an absolutely huge, stunningly beautiful yacht (or something bigger.. But not a cruise ship.. Works too!) for a few hundred of their best friends/employees/family to enjoy/party the new year in the right way. And yes... Attendance is mandatory!

After a few hours, all the party goers are called to the main deck for a speech/presentation or two.. And yes the includes you Michael! The fireworks are going to start soon and they are not to be missed. If that wasn't already bad enough.. Amongst the crowd, there are sparklers being handed out/passed around. Yes sparklers.

By the time they reach Mikey, there must be about 5 mins til the count down, and the moment somebody hands him one, a hugely massive anxiety attack takes over his mind and body. Damn eidetic memory. He ends up falling overboard. It's a long way down.

Harvey manages to catch sight of Mikey just as he is falling. Everyone onboard is freaking, but none are really helping. Mikey seems to be drowning. He's only been in there a short while. Sound familiar?

HBIC of all things ever, Donna, jumps overboard in her fancy expensive clothes, and rescues Mikey from certain death. Problem is..... He's all blue lipped and unresponsive. Harvey gets thrown for a massive loop with his own anxiety attack and flashback memories. Difference? Standard CPR isn't working. He needs real medical attention for sure! Cue a rescue chopper and EMTs. Harvey and Mikey are whisked away. Slow recovery. Realistic please.

**WANT: Hospital time, all of PH to be present at the party, heavy hurt/comfort, GEN with bromance/brothers/best friends undertones. It is more than welcome if you include lots of rib crushing hugs, tears, teasing of caring, and an embarrassingly adorable kiss atop Mikey's head once consciousness is regained. Please include that! Also.. Please make this a decent length.

**DO NOT WANT: Sex. Established relationship. Dating. Drug use.

I couldn't begin to tell you when my brain started prompting GEN! I think something might be loose in there. *shakes head* I love me some Marvey.. Just not here.

Thank you for your time, and I really do apologize for this being so insanely long! I can't help it.

Harvey/Mike - New Love for the New Year

Harvey and Mike watching the New Years festivities and then making love for the first time as it hits midnight. Mike is a virgin and gets loud and carried away in the heat of his first orgasm. He is sure that Harvey is the ultimate greatest lover in the world. Harvey doesn't mind the new nickname at all. ;)

Marvey fluff and hot sex. I'm horny and well at least this one is nice and sweet.

Gen, hilarious Christmas gifts

Mike gaped at Harvey. "You got me a coloring book?"

"You're welcome," Harvey said.

The book was full of cavorting puppies. Mike tried not to let his disbelief show.

Harvey started to smirk. "If you're really good, next year I'll get you some crayons."

Mike, in revenge, decides to get Harvey something equally ridiculous. I want a vicious cycle of people giving silly gifts. Any characters welcome.

Lovely story. I thought the scenes with Grammy were very realistic. When I was corporate management decades ago we listened for complaints about the food. If people were complaining about the cafeteria food it meant there wasn't anything worse to complain about.

Harvey/Mike - Valentine's Day

Mike turns into a teddy bear on Valentine's Day. Harvey must deal with the consequences. Inspired by:
